The choice between democracy and dictatorship is the choice between a delusional society and a delusional individual.

Both have their delusional ideas of how things should be. More than facing the reality here and now, the delusion holds on to a belief that everything will be better in the future - in a better paradigm, a better system, with a better leader. So we end up with politicians who sugarcoat the future. We end up with dictators who promise to dismantle and fix everything.

Both are fixated on their delusions, instead of working with the reality of the here and now.
