Data driven dogma
27 Nov 2024
Data, give me life. Give me something to hold onto.
News, tell me how things are. How they will be. Tell me what to fear next so I can prepare.
Authority, tell me what’s right and wrong, for I trust myself as little as I trust others.
Internet, tell me what others are thinking so I can contort myself to fit in. It’s more comfortable than facing myself.
Friends, tell me that you’re just like me, I’ll keep walking the wrong path as long as I’m not alone.
Mind, forget the incomprehensible mystery that I am, discipline me with the familiar voice of judgement.
Data, show me the path to your desolate future, for I fear that much less than a beautiful mystery.
